Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Foundation® Training Course

OVERVIEW

The SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) Foundation course provides a foundational introduction to the principles and practices that allow organizations to scale critical services with both reliability and economic efficiency. Implementing a site reliability focus necessitates significant organizational realignment, a renewed emphasis on engineering and automation, and the integration of new operational paradigms.

This program explores the historical evolution of SRE and its trajectory, while equipping participants with the methods, practices, and tools needed to drive reliability and stability across their organizations. Through real-world scenarios and case studies, learners are encouraged to engage colleagues in these efforts. By the end of the course, participants will possess actionable insights to implement upon their return to the workplace, including the ability to define, track, and manage Service Level Objectives (SLOs).

Developed in collaboration with SRE thought leaders and organizations actively adopting the discipline, the course leverages key industry sources to extract real-world best practices. It is specifically designed to impart the core principles required to initiate an SRE adoption journey.

This course prepares learners to successfully pass the SRE Foundation certification exam.

• Anti-fragility, approaches to handling failure, and failure testing
• The organizational implications of adopting SRE

CERTIFICATION EXAM

Achieving a score of 65% or higher on the 60-minute examination, which comprises 40 multiple-choice questions, results in the SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) Foundation certificate. This certification is administered and maintained by the DevOps Institute.
