Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A large financial services firm sought to transition away from an industry-leading BI solution for one of its key products, opting instead for an Open Source system (Superset) to achieve significant savings in licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted several project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on these discussions, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture to meet the reporting requirements for each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended specific changes to the data stores to optimise the use of Superset, ensure optimal performance, and guided the team in implementing these changes. Following the optimisation of the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plug-ins were created to enable more interactive data presentation, including features such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome Our consultants have been building new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer organisation to maintain the dashboards and reports. The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer business and its end clients. To highlight the project's success, it has been expanded and extended to include more products and end clients.
