Microsoft Flow/Power Automate Training Course

This instructor-led live training, delivered in Denmark (either online or onsite), is designed for business staff, managers, developers, and data analysts seeking to adapt, implement, integrate, and manage Microsoft Power Platform components and features within their organisation.

By the end of this training, participants will be capable of:

• Building simple applications with Power Apps to create custom solutions for everyday business needs.
• Automating workflow processes using Power Automate (formerly known as Microsoft Flow) to minimize manual and repetitive tasks.
• Creating data reports and dashboards with Power BI to generate insightful analytics for the business.
• Building chatbots using Power Virtual Agents to automate and resolve common customer inquiries and issues.

This course offers a fundamental understanding of Power Virtual Agents, Power Automate & Power Apps, along with a high-level introduction to Power BI. It is built around a process previously performed manually, where you will develop a Power App using Microsoft Power Apps to track tasks on houses under construction (storing data on SharePoint for simplicity). You will then utilize Power Virtual Agents to show users how to enable bots (within Microsoft Teams) to guide them to the location of documents scattered across different SharePoint sites, such as loan documents, budgets, and sales contracts. These bots are highly useful for HR & IT teams to handle repetitive questions. You will also set up simple flows in Power Automate to save attachments from specific senders (e.g., bank-organized inspection attachments) and create other flows to save data from Microsoft Forms to SharePoint, as well as build fully automated processes using the approvals app within Microsoft Teams. Once the app, bot & flow are complete, the final step is creating a simple Power BI report and using Power Automate to send a snapshot of the table with the latest completed tasks every 2 weeks to a specific sender (the bank in this example) requesting a draw, including the task completion dates and budget amounts. This course is high-level, and I recommend learners use ChatGPT for more technical aspects such as coding or formulas in Power Apps; this is covered in the course, where I demonstrate how to utilize ChatGPT to its full potential to assist with Power Apps formulas.
